Considering the high price tag and the fact that this was something you had to assemble yourself, I was very apprehensive when ordering this chair. I did not know what to expect. When I saw the size of the box that it came in, I was worried whether I will put it together properly. However, they did share a detailed instruction booklet in the box along with a pair of white gloves (which I completely missed and totally bruised my fingers). Make sure you use the gloves.
Now coming to the chair. The first time you sit on it, you will feel that the price tag is completely justified for this level of comfort. Unlike office chairs, the portion of the chair on which you will be sitting has a cloth cover which is very airy and comfortable. The removable back support is made out of memory foam which adjusts to the contours of your back. The neck support is a little harder but gives good support. The back-side of the chair is made of PU leather and gives the chair a very premium look.
Let us understand a bit more about the handles. The handles have four-dimensional adjustments - forward-back, up and down, left and right and even twists towards and away from you. At first glance the handles seem to be hard plastic; however it is soft to touch and provides good comfort for your hands. The chair can tilt all the way back (I don't know why anyone would want to use this; but its there for those who do) and can be locked in that position via the lever on the left side of the bottom mechanism of the chair.
Experience in putting the chair together: It is a two-person job; don't try to put it together alone. Also, even with the instruction, you may do something wrong and mess it up. It will take you around an hour to put it together so plan your time accordingly. All nuts and bolts along with the appropriate tools are provided in a box, neatly packed. The sides have additional plastic pieces with a round cover to hide the nuts. This makes the chair look seamless.
Recommendation: If you sit for long hours as part of work-from-home assignments and want a comfortable chair (and have the money to spare) go for it. Your back will thank you.
