Why Aromatherapy?
We have come to an era where the use of harsh chemicals in cosmetics has become a serious concern. The increased level of pollution in the environment demands for more effective skin care solutions but harsh chemicals are certainly not the answer. In search of potent, natural solutions for skin & hair care, eminent aromatherapist Keya Seth revisited the mother nature & she picked the “soul” molecules of the aromatic plants, the essential oils, for incorporating with science-derived advanced bio-molecules & herbal extracts to come up with treatment products that deliver results without side effects.
How Aromatherapy works?
Essential oils, the healing agents of aromatherapy work on the body through 3 different pathways namely, the cutaneous pathway – through the skin, the respiratory pathway – through the membrane of lungs & the olfactory pathway – through the neuro-endocrine system. While these pathways are often described as individual processes, in reality, each of the pathway interacts as well as influences the others within the body. In addition to the above 3, there is also the oral pathway, where aromatic medicines are used. Once the oils are within the body they work locally as well as systematically to offer healing & wellness.
