Nice product from Carrier Midea India and fast cooling.
I would first like to appreciate the brand Midea for coming with such a nice product in this price range. This brand is an extension of Carrier Midea India Limited. Both Carrier and Midea usetye same service network of Carrier Midea India. So on the basis of product service everyone will get the same service as that of carrier.Now coming to the AC i purchased, after a through research i came to know that this model 'MAI18SR5R34W0' is a copy but customised version of Carrier brand model 'CAI18ES5R34F1'. As this was available at a lower price than Carrier AC so i decided to buy this model.The delivery was prompt by Amazon. After contacting the Midea customer care i came to know that Amazon had already booked an installtion service request with them. Finally ation happed in 2 days as per my appointment.I will point out some pros and cons so that the customer who is thinking of buying this can make their decision .Pros:-1. Nice cooling as this product is a replica of Carrier product.cools room within 15 mins.2.Product design is good and remote is also same as that of it's Carrier counter part3. The outdoor unit also looks like Carrier brand outdoor unit .Cons:-1. One can expect some cost cutting here and there as Midea is providing their products at lower prices as compared to Carrier.2. In the indoor unit i faced some rattling sound especially when the indoor blower fan is rotaiting at lowest speed(1/3 speed). I am not sure if it is quality control issue or there is some loose parts in my unit which is vibrating. I have contacted the service center regarding this issue and they are still trying to fix the issue. I will update if there is some resolution.3. In the outdoor unit the front fan grill has 4 screw holes but i got only 2 screws out of the box. See the photo attached.4. The plastic cover which is used to cover the outdoor unit valve to protect it from physical impact causing leakages is missing even if there are 2 screw holes to attach the cover parts.see the attached image.I will keep my final review reserved as i have not used thus product for atleast 4-6 months. Maybe the unit i got has some manufacturing issue which is a clear case of quality control issue.Despite of these issue which could be a unit specific issue i would definitely recommend this product to buy who is low on budget and want service from reputed brand like Carrier Midea India.Giving one star less for the rattling sound i faced in the indoor unit while on lowest speed. I will update the star rating once i get a resolution from the service persons. Another thing is we will get the same service as Carrier brand in this Midea products as these are almost same designed product as that of Carrier

AC is good, nice cooling, price reasonable if will compare with other brands..however the remote doesn't have light.. If someone need to operate mid night it's difficult... There is no battery included.. This is my second AC of Midea brand and I bought this after using 1st one for almost 4 years... and had the good experience with that... But this time didn't get all the accessories which included first time... Like tap, white cement to fix the whole and few other things... Installation experience was not that good as the technician was saying the extra charge for every everything. He said whatever is there in the box only that much included in service for rest of the thing even I am providing material he asked extra money. He was is in bit hurry and as I didn't take any extra service from him.Reviewed in India on 8 April 2024

The delivery was prompt by Amazon. After contacting the Midea customer care i came to know that Amazon had already booked an installtion service request with them. Finally ation happed in 2 days as per my appointment.
I will point out some pros and cons so that the customer who is thinking of buying this can make their decision .
Pros:-
1. Nice cooling as this product is a replica of Carrier product.cools room within 15 mins.
2.Product design is good and remote is also same as that of it's Carrier counter part
3. The outdoor unit also looks like Carrier brand outdoor unit .
Cons:-
1. One can expect some cost cutting here and there as Midea is providing their products at lower prices as compared to Carrier.
2. In the indoor unit i faced some rattling sound especially when the indoor blower fan is rotaiting at lowest speed(1/3 speed). I am not sure if it is quality control issue or there is some loose parts in my unit which is vibrating. I have contacted the service center regarding this issue and they are still trying to fix the issue. I will update if there is some resolution.
3. In the outdoor unit the front fan grill has 4 screw holes but i got only 2 screws out of the box. See the photo attached.
4. The plastic cover which is used to cover the outdoor unit valve to protect it from physical impact causing leakages is missing even if there are 2 screw holes to attach the cover parts.see the attached image.
